The Solomon Gottfried Quartet is a group consisting of young like minded improvisers from New York City who aim to provide music rooted in the Jazz tradition within a chamber like format.
Featuring Jasper Dütz on Alto Sax and Bass Clarinet, Abdulrahman Amer on Trombone, Solomon Gottfried on Bass and Jacob Patrone on Drums, this band plays mostly original music that explores storytelling through sound, space, and texture. In early 2018 the band released their first EP "The Watering Hole" available on Bandcamp. Notable band influences include Ornette Coleman, Bach, Lee Konitz, Ambrose Akinmusire and Fly Trio.
We are the Nick Semenykhin Trio featuring Solomon Gottfried on bass and Andrew Licata on drums. Spanning many musical genres this trio has been exploring various styles of jazz and improvised music. We perform original music as well as jazz standards and perform frequently at different venues throughout the tri-state area, such as Jazz At Lincoln Center, Trumpet’s Jazz club, Fat Cat, Chris’ Jazz Cafe, Tomi Jazz, Shrine, Silvana and so on as well as private events.
The members of our trio have performed with various prestigious jazz artists such Joshua Redman, Bob Mintzer, Ed Cherry, Richard Boukas, Peter Bernstein and Hal Galper.Learn More
Skepasts/Gottfried/Patrone is a collaborative jazz guitar trio compromised of students from the New School for Jazz in New York City. From private events and backround music to clubs in New York and original compositions, this trio is truly innovative while maintaining its roots in Jazz.
Featuring founding members Andrew Skepasts on Guitar, Solomon Gottfried on Bass and Jacob Patrone on Drums, this trio has worked over the past year and a half developing a band sound and performing in various venues throughout the tri-state area.
